Senior DevOps Engineer | AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Python, Golang | up to £85k
This is an amazing opportunity to join probably the most exciting client I have ever worked with. Their technology is current orbiting the earth on the International Space Station, helping in the fight against Ebola in Africa, and was integral in the development of the Covid vaccine.
Every day is different in this dynamic ever changing environment. The use cases for their platform are enormous, solving real world problems across healthcare, epidemiology, environmental science, agriculture, food and education.
They are recognised as one the leaders in their field and you will be joining a team of similary passionate Engineers, Analysts, scientists and forward thinkers.
The work is pouring in and they are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their diverse Systems Engineering team. Working closely with the Lead Engineer, you may find yourself automating deployment methods on Monday, building monitoring and alerting systems on Wednesday, and bashing out lines of code on Friday, working along side the Dev team to enhance and improve their software.
It is a true DevOps role, with equal importance being put on your coding skills. As such, a background in development in any high level language is vital. If you are looking for a role where you can still be hands on, putting your coding skills to good use, whilst also using the most modern DevOps tools, this is definitely it.
Alongside your skills in development, they are also looking for experience across some of the following:
- AWS (essential)
- Docker and Kubernetes
- CI/CD tools
- Prometheus monitoring system or similar
You be able to work predominantly remotely if you would prefer, although they have a fantastic office in the Oxfordshire area if you like to face to face time. You will need to already be in the UK and have the right to work.
They count NASA and the NSH as some of their clients, with new projects coming in everyday. You’ll need to love working in a fast paced environment, able to adapt to new requirements or priorities on the fly.
Along with a fantastic working culture, you get a raft of amazing benefits including a bonus, share options, private medical. Plus you will be contributing to truly ground breaking technology that wouldn’t be out of place in Tony Stark’s lab.
If you fancy looking up at the night sky knowing some of your code as contributed to technology hurtling round the earth at 17,000mph, hit apply, drop your CV , or give me a call on 0117 403 6372.
