PHP Developer | Remote working | £45k
Going away with all your mates in theory it always sounds so fun, “the more the merrier” and “will be so good for the whole squad to catch up” get banded about left right and centre…
The reality – well, the reality is very different. Someone has to put their hand up and be willing to pull the strings necessary to make sure everyone turns up. Or no one does and you just point at the person who seems the least disorganised. They then have the monumental task of getting commitment from people, collecting money to pay for flights, accommodation, activities. It’s a headache.
Well I’m excited to be partnered with an organisation who alleviate that headache – they take away all the stresses around organising a group holiday. No more chasing Martin for £30, or trying to work out if Alice is still coming or has she bailed. They’ll do the lot.
They are looking for a PHP Developer and they have a number of projects for you to get their teeth into including the build of an activity only platform, a VIP light area (online event management tool), a self-catering booking system and a supplier booking system. All built using the one and only, PHP.
In this role you’ll get a salary to £45k ample autonomy, learning opportunity (they’ll pay for any exams/learning materials you need to better your skillset) and of course you’ll have the opportunity to sample some of their experiences – that could take you to Dublin, drinking at the Guinness factory, to Budapest where you can test your aim at the shooting range or even to Vegas! It’s bloody exciting.
What’s covid done to their business I hear you ask – well in truth, not a great deal. Naturally as with any hospitality linked organisation they had a tough few months right at the start although given they have built all their software inhouse they were able to react quickly and exchange money for credits so their clients could rebook their excursions at a later date. Clever old beans.
