PHP Developer | Fully Remote | Salary to £50,000
Are you a skilled PHP Developer with a musical inclination???????
Fancy yourself working for a digital music distribution company who are fast on their way of becoming one of the biggest independents in the UK?
To be clear – this isn’t music and tech as an afterthought, this is a tech business whose software facilitates the connection of talented artists and record labels and distributes their music globally.
It’s bloody clever although with your help it could be better…
Right now they are in the market for x2 PHP Developers to join their team. They’ve got a decent pipeline of work to get through including integrating with more of the streaming sites (although they’re already integrated with the majors like spotify, youtube music, amazon and the like), they want to retire a monolithic platform and rebuild it in modules and they also have a number of innovations they’d like to push the button on and build.
Required tech experience
- PHP (Laravel ideally but open to other frameworks)
- Vue or React
- Docker / AWS
You’ll be joining an interesting bunch of humans, several of whom have been in the music industry for 20+ years. They currently have 2 devs and a QA and in the next month their intention is to grow the tech team to nearer 10 people. Their culture is trusting, collaborative and friendly. They want people to enjoy the work they do day to day and they also want their people to feel they are progressing, both professionally and personally. They organise industry recognised training on the regular to this end.
Being a small but fast growing organisation progression opportunities will naturally present themselves as the team expands so if you are a talented senior, you could land yourself a lead position in 12 months here. If autonomy is important to you that is what you will get working for this organisation – they encourage people to come up with ideas and challenge the status quo as these things are conducive to them innovating.
Salary and bits
Salary is up to £50,000 (may be slight flex) + pension, holiday, regular salary reviews, socials
They are a small business so right now their standard benefits are relatively skinny however they’ve said that if there’s something that is particularly important to the individual, they would look into arranging that benefit for them. Which I like. Tailored benefits rather than a bunch of benefits that don’t actually get utilised.
The role is fully remote although they do like to get together for socials as often as they can – Post covid they intend to meet once every other month to do something be that quad biking, paintballing etc
So if you are looking for something new and exciting where you can make a real difference stop scrolling and hit the apply button!
