Remote (Bristol base optional)
Fancy working for an early stage start-up led by an inspirational CEO (who’s a dev at heart) who has built up several businesses in the last few years selling them for millions?
What’s more – you will get a slice of the pie from day dot?
SR2 are exclusively partnered with a SAAS company who effectively use AI, blockchain and machine learning to link disparate systems in the global logistics space. That’s a very simplified version of what they do of course, to add some meat to the bones, what they do enables shipping organisations to work out shipping routes, run quotations, predict shipping prices, get their accounts in order and much more to enable the shipping process to continue sailing smoothly (sorry).
They adopt modern software engineering practices and encourage their team to upskill where possible, paying for courses, conferences and even learning trips away. Bonus points if you know what hexagonal architecture or DDD are.
Other skills you’ll utilise include GIT, MySQL, AWS, Docker.
What you can expect?
A CEO who has been a Dev, knows what it’s like and isn’t going to set unrealistic, arbitrary deadlines and then whip you along. He’s a decent guy and his approach to his people is very modern – it’s human. He doesn’t treat his people as commodities, he will want to get to know you and help you meet your aspirations. He won’t be looking at when you clock in or off, he’ll look at your output. He even talked about supporting people who in the future are looking to move on from the organisation?! That’s unheard of but it’s indicative of his progressive approach to running a business.
Your team will consist of some really accomplished devs a couple whom I’ve placed previously. They are the type who make shed loads of contributions on github and take an active interest in the wider world of development. Although they’re not jerks about it, they’re not the type to run others down or insist there way of the highway, they communicate well and are genuinely nice humans.
Salary-wise they are open really which sounds strange I realise although effectively they want to find great people and they will pay what they need to, to do so. You’ll also get significant stock in the business, a pension and they’ll support you in learning and growing as a developer.
There are lots of opportunities available for PHP Developers although I really believe this represents something unique. If you’d be interested to find out more apply now and I will be in touch.
