Front End Engineer- Digital Solutions – London

Front-End Engineer – Digital Solutions – London!

Up to £50,000 fully remote, then 1 day per week in London after June

We all know job searching can be tough, right? If you’re reading this ad now, you definitely know. How about joining a business who are on a mission to help make this process easier? This lovely company create digital solutions in the early careers space, who help attract school leavers to undergraduates, to more experienced job searchers. They work with business to help them find the best talent with their digital and face to face solutions!

This is a mid-senior level Front End Engineer role, working on their client facing microsites. You will be the first hire within this team (how exciting!) and with that will come the opportunity to help shape and build this team out. So, you really do need to be comfortable with working autonomously. There are templates in place which you will use to produce the microsites, you’ll be working closely with the Engineering Director to tweak and improve them, and then you will be set loose to really shape them and take them in your own direction!

As a Front-End Engineer you will focus on implementing client websites using Vue.js and Gridsome (static website framework). Also, you’ll need to be comfortable collaborating at the wireframing/prototyping and design stages of a project.

Experience working with front-end Javascript frameworks (React/Angular/Vue) is essential and tools like Webpack would be amazing! They will consider developers with experience of frameworks such as React or Angular or (Insert cool new JS framework you’ve been using), with an openness to learning Vue, but they won’t be moving away from Vue any time soon as they love it and it works, so please bear this in mind!

  • Strong development skills using JavaScript (ES56)
  • 3-5 years experience of working with a JS framework in production, they use Vue.js but React/Angular is fine
  • Expert knowledge of semantic HTML and responsive design
  • Expert knowledge of CSS and a CSS preprocessor, ideally SASS
  • Version Control (git)

Experience working with non technical teams is also really important, and experience of working for clients would be massively beneficial, so perhaps if you’ve come from an agency background, big tick!

This is fully remote for the time being, but from June will be based one day per week from their London office.

If this sounds like a bit of you- you know what to do! Apply and I’ll be in touch!
