DevOps Manager, DevOps Lead | GCP, AWS, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab
A chance to work with one of the most famous organisations in the world. Constantly pushing boundaries, they are responsible for numerous scientific breakthroughs throughout the years. A really interesting opportunity to lead a team that handles over 50 services, and pushes code to production multiple times a week.
You’ll be joining them at a period of sustained growth, with their tech team having grown from 5 or 6, to 30, in the past 3 years. Some very exciting plans ahead and an excellent chance to get hands on with numerous interesting technologies, including GCP, their platform of choice.
Ideally looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer who wants to make that jump up to a managerial role, leading and mentoring a team of 6. It will still very hands on, but will also be a highly strategic role, and you will have a lot of say in the direction the wider team takes.
As the team grows, they are looking for a leader to come on board to shape the way they work, building out standard templates for deploying new services, with a focus on consistency. You’ll not be starting from zero, with the current DevOps team having already done some great work.
Preferably you will have:
- Some GCP experience, although AWS also fine
- Some team lead or mentoring under your belt.
- Terraform expertise (essential)
- Containerisation experience
- The ability to set up robust, efficient monitoring and alerting systems
They have an excellent culture here, with a focus on personal development, workshops, open source projects and meetups. Salary is up to £70k, with a raft of other benefits. If you are looking to take a really positive step in your career and move up in seniority, hit apply, or pop your CV over
