This role is with a start-up who have recently secured £3.7m funding to develop complex computer models which help predict & manage climate change.
Their technology is so impressive they’ve even had the likes of Google and the US Environmental Protection Agency partnering with them. The company were started by 4 University of Bristol alumni’s with a strong research background, which they’re using to bridge the gap between the science and real life application of flood modelling at a global scale.
The position itself suits someone mathematically talented – think modern C++, complex algorithms and graphics. They typically use CUDA but part of this role is to decide approaches, technologies and frameworks that YOU think best.
